Heads up — your OS will warn you. PineX is not broken.

We're a small team and haven't yet bought the $99/yr (Mac) and $300+/yr (Windows) code-signing certificates. Until then, your OS treats the installer as "untrusted" and shows a scary message. This is normal for new indie apps. Here's how to bypass it on each platform:

Windows

SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC — Unknown publisher". Click More info, then Run anyway. Installs normally after that.

Mac

Gatekeeper says "PineX is damaged and can't be opened". It's not. Two options:
• Right-click PineX in Applications → Open → Open again on the prompt, or
• Run xattr -cr /Applications/PineX.app in Terminal, then double-click to open.
